Hollywood actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt is currently in India, he attended the IFP event held in Mumbai on October 12 to talk about cinema. The Inception actor had earlier shared his excitement about coming to India to attend the IFP. Recently, Rajkummar Rao and his wife, Patralekhaa hosted Soha Ali Khan, husband Kunal Kemmu along with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jared Geller, Abhishek Banerjee and others.

Inception actors Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Jared Geller are currently on a tour to India. Joseph Gordon-Levitt was seen attending the IFP Season 14 opener on Saturday, the event was hosted by Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video actor Rajkummar Rao. Following this event, Rajkummar and his wife Patralekhaa hosted a gathering at their residence invitees included Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jared Geller, actress Soha Ali Khan with her husband Kunal Kemmu and Stree 2 actor Abhishek Banerjee among others.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt on his India visit and filmmaking

American actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in India for an event, that recently drew parallels between Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film, Gangubai Kathiawadi, and the works of Martin Scorsese. While speaking with fellow actor Rajkummar Rao at the Indian Film Project (IFP) in Mumbai, Gordon-Levitt shared his admiration for Indian cinema. He praised Gangubai Kathiawadi, saying it was a one-of-a-kind experience. The Inception actor and Rajkummar Rao were seen dancing on Ayi Nai from Stree 2 at IFP.

He commented, “I absolutely loved watching Alia Bhatt’s period drama, Gangubai Kathiawadi. It was truly unique and beautiful, unlike anything I’ve seen before. The film’s rich drama felt reminiscent of Scorsese’s work at times, while the stunning musical numbers were sincere and well-crafted.”

During this engaging conversation, the actor also expressed a desire to return to India to make a film.
